We have here today, brought to you from the deeps of the sea, made by the creatures that live there called the HUSH. The goblet is for drinking sea nectar of what ever land people sip on. It is 18oz. and has a beautiful carving of our friend the dolphin and the stem is frosted to add more beauty to the piece, as if that is necessary. It will be put on auction at eBay today for only $10.00. Starting next week I will have another web site with all the art of the HUSH. I might even tell a story or two concerning these very allusive people. Till then,KRAFCIK

Yes, I have new carved glass art work. This is my new mermaid 18oz. Goblet design. I carved out the mermaid and also etch the stem. I put it on the eBay for auction starting a $10.00. I interested to see if there are any nibbles out there for this type of work. I also design goblets with three designs carved into them put takes more time and I charge more per item and I also sign each one. This piece will get one 3 1/2" design and the bottom will be initialed not signed so I can try and retail the items myself. Have a new dolphin I will put on the eBay and the bog Thursday. Till then how about going and bidding on my new item in all the good stores soon. KRAFCIK

Hey I'm back. Been a while since I blogged. Went to see my Jags beat the Pittsburgh cockroaches on Monday and have been recovering ever since. Finished another part of my "Beautifully Broken" series. This art glass is 14"x14"x1/4" Reverse glass painting. The title is "All points in Between". To me this abstract Expressionistic glass art is my dilemma. I have been pushing the handicap thing of late. I started feeling sorry for myself. I have never been this low in my business life before. I have been pushing the wholesale carved glass for so long to run into a lot, not all, but a lot of people who do not know crap about art. They only worry about how cheap they can get it and sell it. Wal-mart,wal-mart,wal-mart. The disable card is a new one for me to play, but it does not matter. If art is good it is good. I have two more pieces in the series to complete and I think it will be out of my system. Stay tuned. KEEP ART ALIVE...KRAFCIK

One of the first reverse glass paintings I have ever done. It is on a 24"x37" plate glass.i was exparamenting with colors to try to get it to jump off the glass. The photo does not help this piece at all. I have learned how to take better photos of glass after this one was taken. Todays journey starts with the competition of three new glass painting. i will be unvailing them starting monday. Till then KEEP ART ALIVE...KRAFCIK

people never listen to me I know. It's just not me. If only people would understand that communication is a two way street. enough of that venting. Today's art is from my fantasy graphic mode. "Turtle Lighthouse" it is a reverse glass painting. I some times wonder why I was put back on this earth. I thought it was to make art, but starving really sucks. Oh no there I go again. That's all folks, Till next time. KEEP ART ALIVE....KRAFCIK

this piece of art is from my "Bridges" series. It is a reverse glass painting on a 6"x12"x3/8" piece of glass. The glass painting is in the fantasy art mode.
Using bright colors against the balks lines help the art to stand out. I have always liked to use color with black markings. It comes from growing up reading comic books and then later viewing expressionistic wood cut prints. This may appear a a wood block print, but is a one of a kind art work painting on the back of the glass. The name is"The Day the Water Spouts Came." Till next time, KEEP ART ALIVE.....KRAFCIK

today's offering is from the "Beautifully Broken" series of my abstract expressionism reverse glass paintings. The name of the glass art is "Reflecting Pool". I am again using the image of the disabled. The background color is warm and flowing and the foreground helps set the whole piece on fire. I am not, with this series , painting a pretty picture but a painting that is alive with color. The back and front jumping between each other. I am trying to make the whole painting come alive, by causing a vibration within the viewer. Till Thursday. KEEP ART ALIVE....KRAFCIK

This is from my Reverse glass painting series call "Sand and Sea". This piece is "Marching Turtles" . It is a abstract expressionism glass painting. It is done on a 12"x20"x3/8" plate glass. I am using contrasting warm and cool colors and regular shape forms for the background and abstract scratch forms on the turtles . Doing this I try to balance the art. I just love to do opposites on my art. Going from one end to the other, and then bring it all back home to make something in my own language. To share my visions with the world. KRAFCIK

today's art is from my company Visual Dialogue. "The Heron". It is a step carving on a 12"x20"x3/8" plate glass. They are signed and numbered and offered at my wholesale site. It comes with the copper base which is also made on site. Carving is a messy job but some one has to do it. KEEP ART ALIVE....KRAFCIK

a new piece of art from David surfaces. It is 14"x14"x1/4"Reverse Glass Painting. From the "Beautifully Broken"series. The name of the glass painting is "Kissing Turtles". This work is part of the fantasy art I like to do to keep it a little loose around here. I like to include animals in my art. They are not to offend when I use them in my Fantasy art work.
Not that I know of. I have just signed up on Artbyus.com to sell my work. If any one is interested in placing a bid check the site Monday. I will have one of my best works on it. Also if there is any one out there ,let me know. KEEP ART ALIVE...David

Today's art work is from my "Beautifully Broken"series titled "Dancing in the Moonlight"It is on a 12"x24"x1/4" Plate glass and is a reversed glass painting in the abstract expressionistic mode. Here I am combining dark cool color for the background and warm light colors for the fore ground. It is also another example of using images geared for handicapped art. The art vibrates with color but still has a balance that helps tie it all together. I am also balancing the soft abstract background with the scratching out of the foreground. The art has two holes drilled in the top that I place copper ties and nuts and bolts through it. A leather cord is then ran through the ties andthat is how it is hung..KEEP ART ALIVE..David

Tuesday. Yes Tuesday. My lest favorite day. Day to go hustle art around town. Knock on doors, have people look at me like I am some homeless person. What a day for the ol' ego. Well some one has to do it. First I get to deliver some sold items, thank goodness. Then wait for eBay to call so I can ask some questions on how to sell my art on their funny little web site. Then a whole bunch of reading on how to sell my art online. Just wish I could stay at home and create. That's life. The art piece I am showing today is my 14" crystal vase that I carved turtles into it using the step carving method. More on that in future. Till next time,David KEEP ART ALIVE

Happy Labor Day. My wife and I will be celebrating this day by laboring. I have a glass carving job today, thank goodness. Things have been slow sine the Atlanta Gift Show boomed . Out hustling the streets again, looking for a way to sell my art and pay the bills. I have been working on reverse glass painting on and off since 1987. After my wholesale show tanked I started to paint again. It feels really good. The painting I am showing today is 14"x14"x1/4" thick plate glass. It is from a drawing of mine I have been working on and now have translated it to a painting. I love to put paint on the back of glass and then scratch it out. My colors are very bright to contrast against the black. The name of the piece is "Hurricane Force Winds." To me, my art is all about color and textures. Trying to look deep into my minds eye. Pulling that idea out and making it a reality. Creating something from nothing. Till next time, surfaces Keep art alive

"Catching Some Rays."
Howdy, my name is David Krafcik. I am owner and artist of Visual Dialogue. I have been in the art business since 1987. I have worked the arts and craft scene, had retail stores and wholesale craft items. I am now working on a new series of reverse glass paintings called "Beautifully Broken" . It is a series with abstract expressionistic and fantasy graphic art. Some of it revolves around my handicap. I never see painting of people in wheelchairs,or walking with crutches. Well I am about to change that with my new series of paintings. in the next day or so i will be posting some of my art. till then, KEEP ART ALIVE...KRAFCIK
